Antonio Armenta

Antonio Armenta is a Mexican street photographer based in Queens, New York, where he has lived for over eighteen years. Working primarily in black and white, he is drawn to stark contrast and the raw compositions of the street.

His photographs attend to the force of the everyday—moments that emerge unguarded, immediate, and unadorned. In his work, the city becomes a stage where absence, tension, and human presence reveal themselves without mediation.

He is the photographic voice in Lenâpa: Unreachable City, a collaboration with ERES (Ernesto Espinoza), where image and poetry move in parallel through New York.
